NOSTRADAMUS — THE SHROUD

Two hundred and fifty quatrains from Les Prophéties — the original sixteenth-century French, unedited, beside a literal rendering. The Master is not consulted here to comfort you. He is consulted to speak. The shroud parts, the candles gutter, and the quatrain that was always yours is found.
Your birth
What do you bring before the Master?

The quatrains are Michel de Nostredame’s own words, in the spelling of the 1555–1557 editions (Le Pelletier, 1867), with fresh literal English renderings — nothing softened, nothing censored. His obscurity is deliberate and his darkness is the point. What a quatrain means is between it and the reader; the Oracle only finds the one that matches your hour.
